KELLY | DORSEY ATTORNEYS OBTAIN DENIAL OF AN URGENT APPLICATION FOR A TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER AND PRELIMINARY INJUNCTION ON BEHALF OF COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE DEVELOPER

Attorneys Gregory Dorsey and Ryan Kennedy convinced the Circuit Court for Howard County to deny an urgent application for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction filed against the firm’s client, a commercial real estate developer, to stop a multi-million-dollar sale of commercial real property days prior to its scheduled closing. The Plaintiff claimed Kelly | Dorsey’s client breached a letter of intent and its lender tortuously interfered with the letter of intent. In denying the urgent application, the Court noted in its ruling: “The Court finds that Plaintiff has not established a likelihood of success on the merits or that Plaintiff will suffer irreparable injury unless the injunction is granted.”
