John M. Rott


Mr. Rott is an Associate at Kelly | Dorsey, P.C. assisting with the firm’s business and commercial litigation practice. Mr. Rott received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hofstra University, where he dual majored in Political Science and Economics, earning Dean’s List Honors. He received his Juris Doctorate from Washington and Lee University School of Law.


Prior to joining Kelly | Dorsey, Mr. Rott worked as a Law Clerk for a law firm and private organizations in New York and Maryland. Mr. Rott also served as a Legal Intern for Judge Andrea M. Leahy of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals where he engaged in comprehensive legal research, and a thorough reading of the record that culminated in bench memorandums and briefs that served to provide Judge Leahy with in-depth analysis of the relevant legal issues and underlying facts of cases before her.


During his undergraduate studies he studied abroad in Japan. Mr. Rott has attained the highest rank of Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts of America.
